It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely death of Prof. Michael Ogembo Kachieng’a (Mike) that occurred on 11th August, 2018, in Pretoria South Africa; the late Mike until his death was a Professor of Technological Entrepreneurship – Watson Corporate Academy – and lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology; South Africa.

Son of the late Mzee Francis and Mama Paskaliah Achieng’a and step son of the late Mama Rose Achieng’a of Kanyikela- Ndhiwa sub-county. The son in-law of Mzee Cheche Migott and Mama Nancy Adera Cheche of Nyatigo Kasimori, Seme, Kisumu county. Husband of Millicent Atieno Cheche (South Africa), loving father of Paskaliah Muga Kachieng’a (Rwanda), Nancy Adera Kachieng’a (South Africa) and Nancy Awuor Kachieng’a. Brother of Joyce Kachieng’a, George Odero Kachieng’a, Juliana Atieno Kachieng’a, the late Zechariah Okeyo Kachieng’a, Anna Kachieng’a, Jane Adhiambo Kachieng’a, Benard Kachieng’a, John Otieno Kachieng’a, Dr. Leonard Kachieng’a (South Africa), Jerin Kachieng’a, Maureen Kachieng’a, lsdoreen Kachieng’a (Kabarnet KMTC), Evance Kachieng’a (Dnhanda High School-Naivasha) and Thomas Odeny (EDT). Nephew of the late Mzee Elly Olela Odero, Odhul Odero, Okelo Odero and Jared Muku.

The body will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home-Nairobi on 24th August. 2018 for burial in Homabay County, Ndhiwa sub-county, Kanyamwa Central location, Unga Sub-location, Unga Village on 25th August, 2018.
