Loving husband of Florence Wanjiku Irungu. Father of Beatrice Njeri, Jane Njoki, Nelius Wanjiru, Anne Nyambura, Monicah Muthoni and Rosemary Wanjiku. Brother of Mary Wanjiru, the late Monica Muthoni, the late John Chege and Jane Wambui (Tumutumu-Karatina). Uncle and grandfather of many.
