It is with deep sorrow but humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Jashon Ahenda Okoya which occurred on the 8th of January, 2018.

Husband of the late Mama Margaret Aloo Ahenda and the late Mama Christina Agola Ahenda. Father of Cornel Ahenda, Anthony Ahenda, Rosemary Nyahone, Stephen Ouma, the late Maureen Achieng, the Late Emily Odinga, Benta Akumu, the late Syprose Awino, Julius Omondi, the late George Otieno, the Late Selina Achieng, Grace Akinyi, Eng. Barrack Okoya, Millicent Ahenda and Fredrick Onyango. Father in law of Emily Akinyi, Elizabeth Aloo, Grace Anyango, Millicent Anyango and Edwina Okoya.

Uncle of Camiluse Lubalo, Anthony Okoth, Charles Ogweno, Dr. William Odinga, Ayub Obare, Michael Ojwang, George Ogutu, Margret Aoko and many others. Grandfather of Fredrick Ooko, Gregory, David, Laura, Byron Okoya, Bianca, Daisy, Calvin, Shasha, Joel Israel, Precious, Liam Ahenda, Christina, Barbara, Mike Murunga, Noah Murunga, Vivian Murunga, Eunice Achieng, Velma, Fylgona, Chrispin Otieno, Byron Onyango, Jacky, Sarah Awuor, Mary Adhiambo, Eunice Atieno, Felix Oduor, Fredric Owino, among others. Great Grandfather of 20.

The cortege leaves Bama Hospital Mortuary on Friday 19th January 2018 at 10 am for a requiem mass at Rock Creek Church Headquaters Uranga. Thereafter to Rock Creek Church, Benga, Usonga.

Prayers and funeral will be held on Saturday 20th January 2018 at his home, Benga near Nyadorera, Usonga starting at 10.00 am.
