Lawrence Githinji Kiongo

We announce the passing on to glory of our brother in Christ, Lawrence Githinji Kiongo of Seattle, USA.

Son of the late Very Rev. Crispus Kiongo (former moderator of the General Assembly of the PCEA) and the late Mrs. Lillian Njeri Kiongo. Husband of the late Jane Wanjiku and Florence Njango (USA). Son-in-law to the late Mr and Mrs Wilfred Njang’iru (Ndumberi). Father of Christine Njeri Mwaura (formerly of Chase Bank), Josephine Muthoni, Maryann Njoki Kihuga, Elizabeth Njeri and Vincent Kiongo (all of USA). Father-in-law of Mwaura Njogu and David Kihuga. Grandfather of Njogu and Wanjiku Mwaura. Brother of the late CIIr. Abel Gitu, Mwalimu Zedekiah Njoroge, the late Linus Ng’ang’a, the late Peter Kanyagia, Mary Njoki Mwangi (USA), Anne Wanjiku Muigai (USA), the late Fred Kienjeku Waweru, Lewis Wakiiri (USA), the late Catherine Wambui Kiragu, John Wainaina (Kayole) and Jane Wanjiru Thiong’o (Gigiri). Cousin, uncle and friend to many.

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on Friday 22nd September, at 9AM for the funeral service, which will be held on the same day at PCEA Church of the Torch,Thogoto at 10am. He will be laid to rest thereafter at the Thogoto Parish Cemetery next to Alliance Girls High School.

Friends and family are meeting daily in Undiri for prayers from 4.00PM.
