Rosemary Moraa Oendo-Maato  

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rosemary Moraa Oendo-Maato which occurred on 7th July 2018 at the Kenyatta National Hospital after a short illness.

Beloved wife of Douglas Maato. Mother of Jose-Kerongosi Douglas. Daughter of Agostino Oendo and late Jerusa Nyanchama. Sister of Thomas Ogoncho, Peter Moenga, Jeremiah Osero, Eng. Tom Mong’are, Dr Onantwa Oendo (KU), Dorca Nyaboke, Kefa Onyonka, James Simba and Evans Okioga (Kenya Prisons).

Daughter-in-law of Maato Kerongosi and Alice Maato. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth Nyanga’u, Jane Kemunto, Jane Peter, Nyanchera, Judy Kwamboka, Doreen Kerubo, Rispar Nyakerario, Chagera, Gideon, Toti and Irma Billiah-Maato, Beryl Onywera, Fridah, Rispar, Lorna and Eunice Maato.

Cousin of Fred Nyanumba, Peter Gari, and Ruth Ariisa. Antie of Robina, Denville, Rael, Fredrick-Hegel, David Msanii, Angela Okioga, Munroe, Serita-Edward, Garvey,Angelo-Jnr. Yvonne, Benard Osiemo, Kefa Ogeta, Griffin and Eric Mong’are. Niece of Samuel Chieta, Hon. Joseph Kiangoi and others.

The cortege leaves KNH’s Farewell Home on Thursday 19th July 2018.

Funeral requiem and burial will be on Friday, 20th July 2018 at her home in Ibacho-Bomobea village, Masaba South District of Kisii County.
