Mary Muthoni Thiong’o (Nyina wa Njeri)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Rtd. Church Elder Mary Muthoni Thiong’o (Nyina wa Njeri).

Wife of the late Rev. Samuel Thiong’o Njuguna. Daughter of the late Gacheru Ndirangu and Hannah Njeri Gacheru. Loving mother of Mrs. Anne Njeri Kibinda (formerly of UoN) and Planner Peter Mburu Kibinda of Consulting Planning Services. Cherished grandmother ofWaithira Gitau, Charles Kibinda, Maryanne Muthoni Kibinda and Samuel Thiong’o Kibinda. Great grandmother of Ty Mureithi Gitau and Mukeni Gitau. Adored sister of Ndung’u Gacheru (Elburgon), the late Ndirangu Gacheru, the late Wambui Mwangi, the late Wambui Mukore, the late Joseph Mwangi, the late Wanjiru Kiongo, the late Njoroge Gacheru and the late Waithira Gacheru.Aunt of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Nyanjogu Village, Kamburu Location, Githunguri, Kiambu County for prayers and funeral arrangements. Other meetings will take place at the PCEA St. Andrews Church on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th February 2018 from 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral Home in Githunguri Town on Friday 16th 2018 for the funeral service at PCEA Nyanjogu Church, followed by her burial at her Nyanjogu home.
