Mama Nereah Atieno Tunya

We regret to announce the death of our Sister in Christ Mama Nereah Atieno Tunya of Yiro East Sub-Location in South Ugenya, Siaya County.

Wife of the late Stephen Tunya Omunyo. Daughter of the late Daudi Owuor and Damaris Akumu of Gem Anyiko. Sister of Manoa Otieno, the late Elija Odhiambo, Editah Owala, Turfena Anyango, Christabel Owala. Aunt of Dan, Peter Lee, Tieng’, Luka, Joyce Awuor, Joyce Odhiambo, Auma Omune and the late Joseph Oduor among others.

Sister-in-law of the late John Oloo, David Odhuong’o, Barnaba Onyango. Co-wife to Janet, Agneta, Helidah, Millicent. Mother of Justice (Rtd) Omondi Tunya, Barrak Otieno, Jane Oyier, Rhodah Anyango, Amos Oduor. Mother-in-law of Millicent Odhiambo, Mary Omondi, Jennifer Otieno, Brigit Oduor and Samuel Oyier. She has left behind 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Star Mortuary Kisumu on Friday 23rd March 2018 by 9.00am for Church Service at Lolwe ACK and will be laid to rest on Saturday 24th March 2018 at her home Katunya in Lolwe Village Yiro East Sub-Location.

The family thanks all the Doctors and Staff who attended to her during the sickness more so to Dr. Okech of Valley Hospital Nakuru.
