Janet Repes Kantai

The Kantai Family and, the children of Janet Repes Kantai take this opportunity to convey our deepest gratitude to our friends and colleagues who supported us during her long illness and in the days and weeks following her passing.

We acknowledge the efforts of the staff of Nairobi Hospital where she spent her last moments. We thank the staff at the Hospital’s Lady Macmillan Ward for their professionalism and concern. We are especially grateful to Dr S.S Musoke, Dr Philip Kisyoka, Dr Ng’ang’a, Sr. Mary Kariuki and Dr Gladwel Kiarie for the care they gave her throughout her illness. Many thanks also to the Faraja Cancer Support Trust.

And to Dr E.C. Kung’u words fail us. Thank you.

We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of goodwill following Janet Repes’ passing. Special thanks to Mark Senteu and the staff of Gracia Gardens for providing us a meeting space; our deep appreciation also to the Nairobi Baptist Church for your generosity.

We made many new friends, and deepened old friendships during the funeral planning meetings. To our chair Amb. Dr Mary Khimulu: you did a sterling job. Asante sana! Heartfelt thanks to all our committee members. Many thanks as well to Rev. Katampoi for always being there for us.

Our mother, sister, aunt, friend and colleague will never be forgotten. She rests in Peace.
