Our family matriarch, Dora Mkabili Mwangola, modelled through her life, among other virtues, a spirit of gratitude. She is now Home at Last. It is left to us—the Mwangola and Kitala families—to continue to live the lessons she instilled in us. Therefore, we extend our wholehearted appreciation for everything that has contributed so charitably to the celebration of the gift of Mama’s life.

First, we thank God for His abundant blessings throughout this period. The same Almighty God—who graciously gave her to us and then took her back Home – poured out grace inestimable through His church, manifest most tangibly through the congregations as well as the clergy who have tirelessly ministered to us during this period. We are grateful indeed for God’s omnipresence and blessings given through the various ministries of the ACK Diocese of Taita-Taveta, in particular of All Saints Mbale; as well as of All Saints Cathedral Nairobi; Lavington United Church; Mavuno Crossroads Church and Ridgeways Baptist Church.

Our hearts are also full of gratitude to: Various representatives and arms of the national Government of Kenya, led by H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta; The County Government of Taita-Taveta, Our home community of Mbale Ward, Taita-Taveta County; The medical teams in both Taita-Taveta and Nairobi Counties; The media fraternity, as well as Our extended kith and kin for the empathy, presence, prayer, thoughtful gifts, messages, tributes, generous contributions and services to our family that have restated Mama Ray’s life lessons to us and solidified her everlasting legacy in our lives.

To you all, from the bottom of our hearts we say,

Chawucheni na ndighi!

God bless you all.

    Mrs. Hawi says:

Sorry for your loss. Jehovah God knows exactly how we feel when we lose a loved in death especially since He has experienced it when He lost his only son Jesus in death.
He knows our pain and sorrow and has therefore promised to wipe out death forever as stated in Isaiah 25:8.
    Poleni sana.
