It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Mama Grace Oluoch Auma which occurred on 23rd March 2017.

Wife of Japuonj Charles Auma Apunda of Masogo Village, Kombura Kano. Daughter of the late Musa Jaramba and the late Tabitha Nyadwe. Niece to Joka Isaac Okwiri (Gem Sinaga). Mother of the late Ruth Simiyu, the late Akinyi, Dorothy Jairo, Jane Kinda (Nrb), Chris Omondi (AMB Nrb), the late Peter Ochieng’, the late Walter Odhiambo, Tom Auma, Tabitha Akoth, Dorcas Odawo (Nrb), Meshack Owira (Kenya Towers). Mother in law of David Kisekeli, Japheth Jairo, the late Hesbon Kinda, Flora Babrie, the late Jael Ochieng, Anne Ogalo, Betty Tom, Michael Odawo and Grace Meshack. Sister in law of Musa Ondiek, Daniel Ayoo, Pati Awuoro (all deceased) and Japuonj Samuel Nyakwaka among others. Blessed with 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The body leaves Star Mortuary Kisumu on 6th April 2017 for burial at her Masogo home on 7th April 2017. There will be a funeral service at Masogo Anglican Church on the same day at 2pm.

There will be a major fundraising on Saturday April 1st 2017 at her homestead from 5pm.

Rachael Salome Atieno Oduka

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Rachael Salome Atieno Oduka, which occurred on the 2nd march 2017 in Memphis TN USA.

Wife of Patrick Manyasa, mother of Stacey Olisa and Clyde Manyasa(USA). Daughter of Harrison Odhiambo Oduka and Leah Okisa (both of USA), Anne Kulaka (UK) and Mariam Abdalla. Grand-daughter of Leah Oduka and Ruth Oduka. Daughter-in-law of Kanisio Manyasa, the late Clementina Manyasa. Sister-in-law of Petronila Manyasa, Hillary Manyasa, Susan Manyasa, Madline Manyasa, Anne Manyasa and Angela Manyasa.

Sister of Fred Oduka (USA), the late Sammy Oduka, Becky Oduka (UK), Barry Oduka, Emma Oduka (USA), Damaris Oduka, Belinda Oduka, Aluoch Oduka (KAA), Nyamollo Oduka (Avant Garde), Begum Oduka, Shamim Oduka, Salma Oduka.

Auntie of Clara, Sheila, Sammy, Harry, David, Jake, Brannel, Trina, Baraka, Ceceone, Hawi, Arsene, Heri and Saruni. Sister-in-law of Dorice Mwararabu, Dorice Owino, Vincent Onaya (UK), Anthony Ndung’u (USA) JR Otieno and Ephantus Lando. Cousin of Arthur, Gaddaffi, Japheth, George and Sammy.

The body arrived from USA this week. The requiem mass will be on Friday, 31st March at SDA Maxwell Church opposite Integrity Centre off Valley road from 8am, later on burial proceedings at her home in Eshisiru lyala Village Kakamega County on the 3rd April 2017.

1989 -2017

The Mutinda Family accepts and announces the passing on of our beloved Patrick Mutinda Manzi (Bond) which occurred on 27th March 2017. Son of Paul Manzi Mutinda and Esther Muthini Manzi. Brother of the late Kennedy, Cate Nzambi, Annah and Joy. Grandson of the late Patrick Mutinda Nyasya & Belita Nzambi of Matinyani Location and the Late Muia Muoka, Annah Munanie of Karaba Embu. Nephew of Lydia & Francis Syengo, Bendetta & the late Jeffrey Nyambali, Fred & Florence Kyalo, David & Janefaith Nyasya, Esther & Samson Kimuli, Mary & Josephat Simbu, Pauline & Paul Musavi, Jemimah & Steve Muthami, the late Joyce Nduku, Felix & Teresia-Vitalis and Raphael & Rose Munyoki. He is survived by many cousins including Judy, Nyambali, Kasyoka, Edward, Wambui, Tom, Tecla, Jeff, Tracy, Kylen, Hope, Joshua and Kalekye.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at Emaccra Hotel -Accra Road Nairobi.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing of Mzee Ruto Chepkurui which occurred on 23rd March 2017 after a short illness. He was born in Turkuo Village, Baringo County. Son of the late Chepkurui Kipkoros and the late Kimoi Chepkuru, He was brother of the late Chesaro Chepkurui, step brother of the late Kandagor and the late Cheboiywo,

He was a loving husband of Tarkok and Kobilo Rutto. Has was loving father of the late Tabarno, the late Tabrandich, Symon, Martina, Magdaline, Magrina, Sibilina, Christine, Richard, Pauline, Abraham, Wilson and the late Kipchumba. He was father in-law of Mary, Sarah, late Milka, Ruth, Sheila and Lydhia. He was a loving grandfather to 80, great grandfather to 59 and great great grandfather to 2. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.

The cortege leaves Baringo County Referral Hospital on Friday 31st March 2017. He will be laid to rest at his home in KapchepkeroVillage Kiboino Location, Baringo County.

Sister of Salome Nyanchama, the Late Agnes Kemunto, the Late Martha Omang’a, the Late Joseph Nyang’ai, Celyne Mona, Yuraria Orora, Matongo Nyamweya, and Seme.
