It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of David Muriithi Waweru – Head teacher Ndarugu primary School Njoro on 21st February 2017 after a short illness at Coptic Hospital Nairobi.

Son of the late Benson Waweru Muriithi and Keziah Wambui Waweru. Husband of Florence Muriithi. Father of Benson Muriithi (Egerton University NTCC), Simon Muriithi (Bomas of Kenya) Richard Mwaniki (Tapas Cielo Mombasa) and Keziah Muriithi (Dedan Kimathi University). Brother of Mwaniki, Ven Mwangi, Wanjiku, Kihara and Muturi. Son in law of the late Simon Ndung’u and Mary Wanjiku Ndung’u. Father-in-law of Florah Wairimu and Leah Nyambura. Grandfather of Sheila Wanjiku, Leigh-an Wanjiku and Lincoln Muriithi.

Family and friends are meeting daily for Prayers and funeral arrangements from 4:00 pm at Rumwe Njoro. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Wednesday 1st March 2017 at 10:00 am for a funeral service at Njoro Park the same day from 11am then the interment will follow immediately thereafter at his home in Rumwe ,Njoro.

Daughter of the late Joshua Mugo Njuguna and the late Virginia Wangari Mugo. She was the wife of Dr Mungai Kamiti of Chicago, USA. Loving mother of Hilda Kamiti and loving mother in law of Tom Kamundia both of Dallas, USA. Grandmother of Zachary, Abigail, Michael and Gracie. Sister of Julia Wanjiru Karanja , S. N. Mugo (Favourite Ltd /Mukereni), Rose Njeri (Department of Defence), Jane Wambui Wanjau (Embu), the Tate Tabitha Wangeci, the late Julia Wanjiru, Stephen Murigi (Ndunyu Chege), the late Lucy Wacera. Sister, auntie, cousin and friend of many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral home on Thursday March 2nd for the funeral service at St Michael Catholic Church Lang’ata at 11am which will be followed by the burial at the Lang’ata Cemetery at 2pm.

She fought a good fightm but she was called home.

Daughter of the late Mzee William Anguka and the late Mama Roselidah Anguka of Kisumu Karateng’. Sister of Pamela, the late Lawrence, the late Patrick, Christine, Evans, the late Elizabeth, Betty, Jonah, Fred, Ambrose and Dan.

A memorial service to be presided by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis M. Abiero, Bishop of Diocese of Maseno South, is scheduled on March 4, 2017, at 10am, at St. James ACK Marera.
