Madam Sophie Adoyo Ochich Onyiero

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved Mother Madam Sophie Adoyo Ochich Onyiero of Kadero Village, Koguta East, Nyakach Sub County, Kisumu County. She was a teacher at Kolanya Girls P. -Busia, Jogoo P. -Kisii, Kabondo P, Deputy Head Teacher Ong’ielore P, Head Teacher Pap Ndege and Guu Primary before being promoted to Zonal Inspector of Schools in Nyakach Sub County until her retirement in 2009. She later served as BoM Thurgem Sec. School and served in Women Ministry SDA Church in different capacity throughout her life in Kenya until her death.

Beloved wife to William Ochich Onyiero Retired TSC Staffing Officer Mwingi. and Board Member St Martin De Porres and St. George Sec. Nyabondo. Mother to Martin Odhiambo of Save the Children South Sudan, Matilda Atieno of Kisumu County CiT Department, Job Oyoo of ETG Kenya, Mombasa and the late Joan Achieng “Ajanny”. Grandmother to Courtney, Tandy, Cayla, Curtis and Liam. Mother-in-Law to Brendah Akinyi and Mourine Achieng’, Caro, Susan amongst others. Daughter to the late Ellon and Truphosa Ang’unya of Kabodho, Lower Nyakach. Daughter in Law to the late Jairo and Rosebellah Onyiero Oyoo, the late Alseba and Rusalia Ogutu. Sister to the late Lawi, the late George, the late Samson, Mary Okiro, Tabitha Were, the late Hellen, the late Adda, Odhiambo Okuku amongst others. Sister-in-law to the late Walter, Robert, Ben, Samwel and Joseph Orege, Jennifer, the late Mercylyn, Doris, Helida, Joyce and Caren. Others are Risper Lawi and Hulda Owilli, Christine Were (USA).  Auntie to the late Simeon, Hellen, Dan, Jerry, Betty, Washington, Bob, David, Jesse, Edwin, Solomon, William, Debora, Achieng Johnson, Marylyn (Total K.), Felix, Lawrence, Maxwell, Joshua Owilly (USA).

The Cortege leaves Kisumu General Hospital Mortuary on Thursday the 9^th of November 2017 at 10am for burial on 10th of November 2017 by Sigoti SDA Church Thurgem station.
